STEP 5: PAY THE APPLICATION FEE

All applicants, with the exception of those noted below, are required to pay the non-refundable Machine Readable Visa (MRV) application fee prior to submitting their application.  The fee must be paid in Leones at the Siaka Stevens branch of Sierra Leone Commercial Bank prior to your interview.

  • In order to verify payment of this fee, you must submit, along with your application, two copies of the computer-printed fee receipt.  If the MRV fee is paid by a third party, please make sure that the applicant’s complete name and passport number are included on the receipt.

  • The MRV application fee is non-refundable. The receipt remains valid for one year after the date of payment. Persons who are refused visas or choose not to apply after paying the fee will not receive a refund.

  • The MRV application fee must be paid in Leones.  As of January 1, 2008, the fee is $131 (Le 393,000).

  • Each applicant must provide the original receipt containing the applicant’s name on the day of the interview.
