United States Embassy Press Conference Rescheduled

Freetown, December 5, 2007
Contact: PAO Danna Van Brandt
Tel: 076-515-000

The press conference scheduled by the United States Embassy for Friday, December 7 has been rescheduled for Friday, December 14 at 9:45 am.  The press conference has been postponed to allow the press to give their full attention this Friday to the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) event. The United States Embassy regrets any inconvenience.

On Friday, December 14, Ambassador June Carter Perry will give a statement and then respond to questions. In addition to questions that may arise from the statement, attendees should come with prepared questions.

The press conference will take place in the embassy’s Multi Purpose Room, starting at 9:45. Members of the press are advised to arrive at 9:30 for security checks prior to the conference. Shuttle buses will be provided at SLENA to transport journalists to the embassy, departing at 8:30.

IMPORTANT: Media are advised to send one reporter and one photographer or technical person. Please send the names of your representatives and any equipment they may bring no later than December 12. We strongly discourage media organizations from making last minute changes to their representatives, as individuals who have not given advance notice of their attendance will not be able to enter the Embassy.
