United States Embassy Donates Medical Supplies to “Welbodi” Partnership

On May 13, the United States Ambassador to Sierra Leone June Carter Perry donated medical supplies to the Welbodi Partnership, an international organization working to provide support to pediatric care in Sierra Leone.

The supplies, certified by the Health Unit of the United States Embassy in Sierra Leone, included boxes of oxygen tubing, masks, nasal cannulas, a portable suction device, Crutches and a bag of obstetrical pads.  Representatives of Welbodi Partnership, Toyin Ajayi and Ryann Manning, said some of the supplies will be donated to the Princess Christian Maternity Hospital (PCMH) in Freetown. 

The donation emphasizes the United States Government’s commitment to supporting the Sierra Leone Government’s address the challenges facing the health sector.
