United States Embassy sponsors SLP Officers for training in Botswana

The United States Embassy is pleased to announce that eight officers of the Sierra Leone Police will participate in the Law Enforcement Executive Development Program (LEEDP), a law enforcement training program for middle management criminal justice professionals with responsibility for national security, drug control, and financial crimes investigation. 

During the six-week program, participants will learn about law enforcement techniques and ways to cooperate with U.S. law enforcement agencies to combat transnational crime.  The course will include counter terrorism, corruption, financial crimes, money laundering, border control, trafficking in persons, passport fraud, drug investigations, undercover operations, firearms trafficking, explosives, general and crime scene investigations, human dignity, management and policing techniques. 

The United States is committed to helping the Sierra Leone Police improve their capabilities, to keep the people of Sierra Leone safe from crime.
