United States Embassy sponsors cinema centers to show inauguration

The United States Embassy in Sierra Leone will sponsor ten cinema centers in Freetown to show the inauguration of President-elect Barack Obama live on January 20, 2009. All showings will be free and open to the public.

The cinema centers, Eastern Paddys Entertainment Centre, Kissy, G-Unit Entertainment Centre, Calaba Town, The Wrings Sport Centre, Aberdeen, De Bees Sport Centre, Goderich, Almond Sport Centre, Congo Town, Taco Cinema Centre, Blackhall Road, Donhill Cinema Centre, Lumley, the A&J Sport Centre, Regent road, the All Stars Entertainment Centre, Ross road and the Community Centre at Jone street will open to the public at 3:30 p.m., and admission will be free for the duration of the inauguration.

The inauguration ceremony starts at 4:00 p.m. local time.

The United States Embassy also sponsored cinema centers to show last year’s Presidential Debates and Election Day coverage.
